Asta and Yuno were left in the same church on the same day. Raised together as children, they learned about the "Witch King" - a title given to the strongest magicians in the kingdom - and promised that they would compete with each other for the position of the next Witch King. However, when they grow up, the striking difference between the two becomes real.
